Breathtaking Ministries’ Vision Statement:
“to exhort the Body of Christ to boldly
proclaim God's sovereignty and goodness through a proper
theology of suffering - one breath at a time"
Objective:
It is our passion to see souls set free by the power of
Jesus Christ and His
Gospel.
We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ
freely and boldly, while we use our resources to
proclaim a proper theology of suffering.
What is a ‘proper theology of suffering’?
The idea of a ‘proper theology of suffering’ comes from
the theological concept that God is sovereign (in
complete control) and good, no matter what our
earthly circumstances; another definition would be
the concept that God is fully-aware of what is going on
in one’s life, even when answers are few and far
between. Everything we go through in
life is for our good and, most importantly,
His glory.
Why this particular message?
Breathtaking Ministries sees a great need in today’s
world for the truth to be told. So many versions
of so-called ‘Christianity’ are available with the
simple click of a mouse or a television remote.
Prosperity theology has sprung forth with much
gusto, and it is our desire to counter-act this with a
message of God’s sovereignty and love for humanity not
only through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ but
also through Him being very much at work in our every
day lives.
Through what vehicle will the message go forth?
Breathtaking,
the book, is the greatest tool we have to use for this
type of ministry.
The Lord has Amber in the area of writing and speaking and has given her the
calling to further the message of the Gospel through a
proper theology of suffering by using those abilities to
their fullest.
As a ministry,
we would also like to see the ministries’ website become
a catalyst for networking among others who have faced
difficulties but who have sought the Lord during those
times, i.e. other authors/speakers/every-day people. If
you are interested in being a part of this, please email
us at
amber@ambermetz.com. Moreover, in time and with the Lord’s leading, we plan on having
resources (books, articles, devotions, sermons,
video, etc.) available for those who would like to see
human suffering taught from a Biblical perspective.
On a further
note, Amber is also prayerfully considering writing
more books on this issue. At the very least, one
more will be published upon her death.
